Hello loves! I’m just dropping by to say hello.
I’m sure you’ve noticed that I haven’t been posting for a while now. Here’s the reason: My island, the Commonwealth of Dominica was hit by a major category 5 hurricane on Monday September 18th 2017. This left the island almost unrecognizable. It destroyed our power grid, water and any form of telecommunications. Therefore I haven’t been able to get in touch with you all. It was the most terrifying time of my life and an experience I wish to never live again. There was not one moment where I was certain that me or my family would make it to see the next day. All you could to was huddle up with your loved ones and pray that you made it to see the next day. I am grateful that we did.
They’ve been able to restore mobile services to some areas and some free wifi (which I’m using now). Outside of these accommodations, I am unable to upload any post. I really miss my followers and fellow bloggers. I cannot wait for things to get back to normal so that I can connect with you all on a more regular basis.
Though we’ve lost a lot on island we are keeping hope alive and taking the one day at a time mentality in order for us to make it through this terrible disaster and its aftermath.
Please keep my country in your prayers and good thoughts. I hope that things get back to normal soon so that I can keep sharing some love and sometimes light with you all.

Oh my goodness!!! I am so glad you are okay!!! I’ve been praying for you and those who were hit so hard by this. I was so worried something even more horrible had happened to you. I know that we don’t know each other well, but I felt I had gotten to know a little about you through your blog and I loved your uplifting words. I am so relieved that you are okay. I kept telling my husband I haven’t seen or heard from her yet and then I’d just keep praying. Now I’m sending my praises to Him.

Thank you so much for your prayers. This touched my heart. I’m so happy that even if we don’t know each other that we can connect through this medium. Thank you for your prayers and keeping me in your thoughts. I will try to get connected as much as is possible in order to share this experience as well as the inspiration and other lessons I am learning daily. Hugs 🤗. Love and light ❤️

Thank you for your concern and for keeping me in your thoughts. It’s still difficult to connect as the telecommunications is still limited. However I will try my best to get connected as much as is possible. Continue to keep me and my country in your prayers. So happy to have lovely people like you in my corner even if we don’t know each other personally. I really appreciate your reaching out 🤗. Love and light ❤️
