These are a few of my favourite things...
"Self Care means giving the world the best of you, instead of what's left of you."-Katie Reed
"You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great."-Les Brown. Sometimes all it takes is trust in your ability to start a thing and get it done. This doesn't mean that you will not make mistakes, in fact you will. However these mistakes will only help with your refining and most likely be a character building experience. So expect the mistakes and take it in stride, have the right attitude towards your mistakes, stay focused and don't be too hard on yourself. Just trust that you will reach your goal, trust that you have everything within you to make it. Maybe it won't happen today or tomorrow, maybe it will take longer than others but trust that God has you and your blessing is on its way. So go on and leap!
My take away from this is that we have everything we need to survive and thrive here in the Caribbean, we should cherish and use it. The truth is our grass is pretty green (the good kind of green 🙂 ). In addition I've formed some really remarkable bonds with some great people. Who knew chocolate could win you friends? I ended my chocolate fest rejuvenated, thrilled and feeling like the luckiest girl on the block. And like my dad said to me a few days ago, 'sometimes you have to create your own luck.' I think I did just that. I am so grateful to have been blessed with this opportunity. This experience is one that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I grew so much in those 11 days. I returned home a new me. Grenada Chocolate Festival you gave me life!
